My mission is to help as many people in my lifetime as I can… especially children.
23 years ago, Dr. Matt attended Virginia Tech with a B. S. in Biology with a clear cut mission- to become a chiropractor. He grew up in Springfield, Virginia and had a cousin who was a chiropractor in New Jersey. At holiday family gatherings, everyone would line up in their living room to receive an adjustment on Dr. Rob’s portable table.
“I can clearly remember my first adjustment. I was 12 years old and it changed my life because it set the course of my life’s work. The adjustment didn’t hurt; it actually felt real good! I knew right away that I wanted to be a chiropractor. My cousin would tell me stories of the numerous people he had helped through chiropractic.”
Dr. Matt graduated from Virginia Tech in 1994 and was accepted to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in October. Palmer College was founded in 1895 by Dr. DD Palmer and is the first school for chiropractic study, producing the finest chiropractors in the world. He graduated in 1998 and moved to St. Augustine, Florida where he worked at Hartlry Chiropractic.
In January, 1999, Dr. Matt and his wife, Mandy, returned to their home state of Virginia and opened their practice in Leesburg. They have four children, Maddie, Suzie, Nicole, and Aaron, who have been getting adjusted since they were born. They have been healthy and active children all their lives. It truly is a family business.
Dr. Matt loves snowboarding, motorcycles (or anything with an engine), bike riding, the mountains, football, lacrosse, soccer, in other words, most sports. He enjoys reading, movies, and eating good food.
Dr. Matt wants people to know that adjustments are not just for adults but for the entire family, no matter how old! Health is not being pain free. Health is the ability of the body to adapt to chemical, physical, and emotional stressors. Through chiropractic adjustments, your body will restore health to your entire body and continue to maintain health.
